Call for Nominations: CAE Outstanding Book Award

The CAE Outstanding Book Award recognizes new, critical, and cutting-edge books that make a significant contribution to the anthropology of education. Books that have been published within the past two years will be considered by a three-member selection committee. Awardees will be recognized at the annual AAA meetings. No money will accompany this award.

All nominators and/or nominees must be current CAE members. Self-nominations will be accepted. Nominations should be accompanied by 3 copies of the book and a letter from the nominator (no longer than 500 words) that addresses the following: (1) relevance to the anthropology of education and the CAE mission, (2) originality, (3) potential for significant impact on the field.

Nomination Letter Deadline: Sunday, October 11, 2020

Books received by Committee Members: No later than Saturday, October 17, 2020

Instructions for nominators and nominees:

  1. Send nomination letters to CAE Secretary, Carla McNelly, no later than Sunday, October 11, 2020.

  2. Within the nomination confirmation email, nominators and/or nominees will receive instructions on where to send the 3 copies of the books no later than Saturday, October 17, 2020.
