Ad-hoc Committees

In 2021, CAE President Ted Hamann initiated an ad hoc committee on membership recovery charged with gathering information from current and former CAE members to understand what they seek and value from participation in the Council. That committee will then make recommendations regarding strategies on what to add, perpetuate, or disccontinue to assure CAE is a robust, member-serving, mission-advancing section of the AAA.

In 2008-09, President Norma González and President-Elect Teresa McCarty formed an ad hoc committee to review and make recommendations regarding the process for the appointment of AEQ editors. This committee, chaired by Rosemary Henze and comprised of members Sofia Villenas and Kathryn Anderson-Levitt, completed its charge in summer 2009; the committee’s recommendations will be considered by the CAE Executive Board at the 2009 Annual Meeting.

In 2007, CAE President Perry Gilmore constituted two ad hoc committees on public policy. Please go to the “Policy” tab for more on these committees.
